CM Demolition quoted £150 to remove a small amount of rubble from a dismantled chimney. When Sam arrived to remove it he said his partner's quote was too low and said it should be £270. We settled on £220 cash to include some roofing felt and Sam shook my hand to seal the deal. He said if his partner asked tell him it was £150. Sam didn't take the roofing felt and has given 3 different excuses for not coming back to collect it as promised. I have his texts as evidence. I am an elderly person with advanced heart failure, now out of pocket because of their failure to honour the contract they made with me. I believe this breaches the law of Offer to Treat. Make your own minds up on whether to deal with this company.
