Oldham Bros Demolition Skip Hire And Scrap Metal

Oldham Bros is a family-owned business founded in 1946, originally operating as scrap metal merchants. The company has over 60 years of experience in the demolition field. It serves Merseyside and the North West, with strong links to Liverpool, Manchester and surrounding areas. Oldham Bros provides demolition, scrap metal, wood recycling, and skip hire services. It buys ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal using a calibrated weighbridge and Bread4Scrap for cashless payments.

The company handles projects in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, offering selective demolition, site clearance, and hazardous material removal. Notable projects include the Wool Station demolition, the deconstruction of Windsor Towers (a multi-block high-rise of flats) where it was the first in the country to use a particular deconstruction method, and the Exchange Station demolition. It is located near the M57 and M58 motorways.

Property management and refurbishment firms in Liverpool rely on this skip hire and waste management specialist for large volumes of containers on site, with one trade customer reporting weekly orders of fifteen to twenty and noting that no request has proved too much. Time and again reviewers describe deliveries arriving when promised, including one skip brought forward by a day and dropped at half past eight in the morning, and collections arranged promptly once the container is full.

Pricing is repeatedly characterised as reasonable and competitive, a point that comes up often alongside praise for the condition of the skips themselves, which are described as clean on arrival. Office staff are singled out by name, with Gemma, Becky, Liz, Jenna and Isabelle credited for politeness, efficiency and a willingness to accommodate changes at short notice, while the drivers are commended for careful placement in awkward locations and for calling ahead. Customers returning for multiple hires mention the absence of fuss across repeat orders. Much of the work centres on construction and refurbishment projects, with scrap metal handling also part of the operation.
