Its core business is demolition, specialising in demolishing a wide range of structures from city centre buildings to heavy industrial structures. It has well established procedures for waste data collection for BREEAM credit reporting, working to the WRAP Quality Protocols and adopting DoWCoP through CL:AIRE.

Asbestos testing, demolition and excavation work forms the core of what this Edinburgh contractor delivers, and the feedback gathered from clients and fellow trades points to consistently well-run projects. Preparation is a recurring theme, with customers noting meticulous planning, clear risk assessments and method statements before work starts, alongside close attention to health and safety. Quotes are described as prompt, and the team is said to turn up when it says it will, acting professionally throughout.

Reviewers often mention the expertise brought to complex schemes, including a large strip-out project where the brief was grasped at tender stage and the crew stayed proactive, diligent and flexible on site. Those who have collaborated on multiple jobs speak of a capable workforce backed by management willing to engage early and share experience. A homeowner recalls helpful advice during the planning of a domestic demolition ahead of a new build. James and the wider team are named for being approachable and willing to go further than expected, with safe and efficient delivery the common thread.
